Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy

Freedom Christian Church has adopted equality, diversity and inclusion as core value and principles and the object of this policy is to:

  • Ensure that individuals who act for or on behalf of the charity or any associated body with whom we work and all those for whom services are provided are treated with dignity and respect.

  • Ensure that all work undertaken by Freedom Christian Church and any associated bodies, including opportunities for learning, is made available on a non-discriminatory basis.

  • Provide a safe, supportive,

  • And welcoming environment for all involved in its organisation or activities.

We recognise that:

  • Equality of treatment requires a recognition that some groups and individuals may have particular and specific needs.

  • Freedom Christian Church may need to provide services in a range of different ways to ensure equality of access.

Equality

Freedom Christian Church endorses the principles of the Equality Act 2010 and is committed to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion. To achieve these the trustees of Freedom Christian Church will:

  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all learning settings.

  • Have due regard to equality issues in decision-making,

  • Challenge any action or behaviour which conflicts with the values and principles of this policy,

  • Ensure all those involved in the work of Freedom Christian Church know how to report any instances of discrimination, bullying, and harassment,

  • Deal with complaints fairly, thoroughly, speedily, and confidentially,

  • Seek to implement equality, diversity, and inclusion policies in all areas where it undertakes work, including any work outside the United Kingdom where currently there is no equivalent legal requirement,
